Here's a random question for everyone! If you had a 2-3 week, maybe longer vacation period, where would you go? I'm finishing up with grad school next spring and I'm already starting to daydream about what to do after school is out. The last big real vacation I went on was when I went to Japan on a 3 week vacation back in 2005. I also hit France & the UK last year, but part of that was for school, and another part was for my parents, so I don't really count that >.>
So, now I'm looking to take another big vacation, but... I'm coming out blank >.> If I graduated LAST spring, I'd have probably set up a big Beijing Olympics vacation, but I missed that boat. Anyone have any ideas on where to go? Please post in comments! Some random ideas are... Hawaii and do some Scuba diving while I'm out there, or NYC and do the touristy things there!
Side note: I just started PLD last night... went from 1-11 with Zurar's supermule-in-training Yasunami. As usual, the initial levels were boring, but at least they went by quickly with Zurar PLing. One thing that kinda shocked me though, was that starting at level 9 I started getting party invites for the Dunes... in total, I recieved 5 party invites between level 9 and 11, during which I was already in a party. Are tanks really that hard to find? This invite rate is surprising, considering that my SAM and BRD did not recieve invites at all even with seek up.
Would have been funny to show up at a party as PLD/BLU in full Christmas gear though xD

Hmm, I haven't really traveled much myself. Heck, the furthest I've been out of Minnesota is to the other side of North Dakota to a little town called Medora. This isn't for a lack of desire to visit other places so much as a lack of money to visit them.
Anyway, if you want to know of a few places around the north-central US; I'd have to recommend Duluth Minnesota and it's surrounding areas. The headwaters of the Mississippi are in the central areas of Minnesota near my home town and starts in Itasca State Park. North Dakota itself is mostly flat plains until you get closer to the western edges of the state; namely in the area of Medora where the painted hills are.
Other than that, I can't think of any places I've been to that would be the least bit interesting.
I'd love to go to Japan myself, but you've already covered that yourself I see. Some of the European countries are supposedly very beautiful though. Or if you want really unusual...try Antarctica! lol
go on a cruise!! not a winter up north cruise though...those are for old people with nothing better to do... do a caribbean cruise where you can get a kick ass tan :D:D i would suggest an "all inclusive" resort...but i know u don't drink...so i don't see the point in the all inclusive (do people actually do other things at those resorts???)
oops...that was me~~
